The camp takes place at Campo de Futebol Adelino Rodrigues, a soccer field located in Funchal, the capital of Madeira.
Madeira is no ordinary island. Nicknamed the Island of Flowers, it amazes with the diversity of its landscapes — dramatic cliffs, laurel forests listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a strikingly beautiful Atlantic coastline. Funchal, its capital, is a lively, well-connected city open to the world, welcoming thousands of visitors each year seeking sunshine, nature and authenticity.
For children, Madeira represents a rare opportunity: training in an exceptional island setting, away from the usual tourist circuits, while fully experiencing a week of soccer under the colors of Real Madrid. The sporting Facilities
Campo de Futebol Adelino Rodrigues provides a functional and well-maintained setting, suited for welcoming young soccer players training to Real Madrid Foundation standards. Located in Funchal, it allows for smooth organization of the different age groups, from morning technical drills to afternoon matches and tournaments.
Participants play on a well-kept pitch, in a secure and structured environment designed so every child can fully focus on their development. The quality of the facilities reflects the seriousness of a program run by one of the most demanding clubs in the world.
Safety and security
In Funchal, as across all Real Madrid Foundation sites in Portugal, participant safety is a non-negotiable priority. Training
Five days, a different theme each day, and a progression that builds session after session. In Funchal, the day opens with in-depth technical blocks in the morning, before shifting to matches and tournaments in the afternoon — an alternation that allows every child to immediately put into practice what they have just learned.
Groups are formed from day one by age and level, ensuring each child a balanced and stimulating environment. Coaches can adjust them during the week if a player deserves to move to a more challenging group. A well-paced, progressive week, designed so that improvements are visible — from the moment they get back home.
Coaches and coaching method
