IMG Academy is a reputable sports academy around the world and particularly in the United States. They offer camps in various sports including soccer for players from 9 to 18 years old. A training camp in a high-end campus with high level infrastructures comparable to the biggest professional clubs.
IMG Academy offers soccer camps that will help your children achieve their goals through personalized sessions and position-specific training. There are 1-week and 3-week programmes with either full board or half board.

Location
The IMG Academy campus is in Bradenton, Florida (West Coast). This city is located 12 minutes away from Bradenton Beach. It is the perfect place to have a quality soccer camp in a high-end infrastructure.
This region of Florida is authentic with a vibrant local atmosphere. It boasts beautiful beaches that will delight your children during their soccer camp. There are also stunning landscapes and wilderness areas to discover. It is a total change of scenery that awaits your child.
The seaside provides a pleasant climate all year round allowing your children to do their soccer camp in ideal conditions.
Accommodation
The advantage of the IMG camp is that it has its own residence on campus. This is an up-market residence with modern double rooms equipped with private bathrooms, TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
You will also have access to the hotel’s facilities, including a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. There is also a smoothie bar, movie nights and activities in the common areas. It’s a great place to spend your free time during the week and enjoy the sunshine with your teammates. It’s an outstanding experience that awaits your child even when they are not on the pitch.
The sporting Facilities
The sports facilities are of the highest quality and the finest in the USA. Indeed, IMG Academy is the leader in sports academies in the world and the campus lives up to this reputation.
There are 16 natural grass pitches for the children to play soccer on. There is also a soccer stadium with locker rooms, a meeting room and the possibility of filming the match for video analysis. The players will have access to facilities similar to those of the top soccer teams.
The players will also have access to a cutting-edge gym with all the latest equipment. This will allow them to work on strength, conditioning and cardio.
They will also be able to use the hotel’s facilities in their free time, such as the basketball court, beach volleyball court or table tennis.
Catering and food
IMG Academy puts the performance of the children at the forefront, and food is a key element in this. The children will have access to a buffet set up by The Servery, the camp restaurant. They will have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. They will be playing plenty of sport so the staff are careful to ensure that each child receives the necessary nutrients to perform well.
All diets are considered. Please do not forget to mention it when you register.
In addition, they will also have access to a pizza restaurant, a bakery and food trucks in the campus.
Safety and security
Safety is the number one priority at IMG Academy. Each residence has supervisors who ensure the safety and well-being of the children. There is also a security company on campus that is present 24/7 – it manages security on campus and at the entrance. Every entrance is controlled, and access is limited to IMG Academy staff.
There is also a partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. This is a very well known hospital in the USA and allows for rapid care should an injury or accident occur.

Training
IMG Academy offers a comprehensive training programme designed to help each player reach their goals. The programme consists of individual training, small group sessions and real game situations.
With programmes of 1, 3 or 6 weeks, IMG Academy implements its methodology on different aspects: soccer, muscle strengthening and mental preparation. Your children will therefore follow the following programme:
- 2 training sessions per day
- 3 strength training sessions
- one mental preparation session
IMG Academy stands out for the customisation of the training that is offered through the available options:
- Specialized training with the following specialities available: Mental Performance, Leadership and Communication, Recovery, Injury Prevention, Speed and Agility, Power and Strength, English Courses
- Position specific training: individual or small group sessions per position to work in a position specific way.
It is therefore a very comprehensive programme that is offered to your child on the sport, physical and mental levels with the possibility of adding individual sessions. He will come out with a better understanding of the game, his/her body, and the different aspects that makes a professional soccer player.
Coaches and coaching method
At IMG Academy, there are expert and qualified coaches with years of experience at the highest level. Technical Director, Don Cameron, has implemented a methodology that has been tried and tested on over 7,500 players since 2011 and has placed over 1,000 players in universities.
The methodology is based on working on all aspects of the player:
- Technique: Dribbling, controlling, passing, shooting and 1-on-1.
- Reduced play
- Tactical work
- Physical training: speed, agility, power, endurance and aerobics
- Mental preparation: pre-game routine, emotions management and dealing with adversity
All these aspects are supervised by coaches who are specialists in their field. Your child will therefore receive comprehensive training and advice from the best professionals.
Staff and activities
When the players are not on the training pitch, they are supervised by IMG Academy staff to ensure their wellbeing and to provide entertainment during their free time. This helps to strengthen the bonds between players even when they are not training and promotes team cohesion.
The activities are varied: movie night at the pool, beach volleyball tournament, games at the pool, painting workshops, etc. All these activities are supervised by activity leaders.
The children will have an unforgettable experience with memories both on and off the soccer pitch.
Trips and days out
A soccer camp should also have fun moments outside the campus so that our players can relax and unwind. That’s why excursions are part of the IMG Academy soccer camp programme.
