Training
Two programs are available at the Teikyo School of Arsenal FC:
- An intensive program comprising dedicated sessions for mental and physical development, totaling approximately 30 hours of training per week, around 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon: the 100% soccer program
- A program combining English language learning with 15 hours of language classes per week and soccer with 15 hours of sports training spread in the morning and afternoon: the “English and soccer” program.
The training program aligns with that of the Arsenal academy, with the aim of providing children the opportunity to learn and progress by adopting the “Play the Arsenal Way” method, which involves the same style of play and playing philosophy as that adopted by the professional Arsenal team.
Evaluations are implemented to identify strengths and weaknesses of each player, allowing for the setting of progression objectives. To achieve these objectives, coaches offer comprehensive sessions, tactical sessions, analysis of game phases, counter-attack and pressing strategies are also integral parts of the program.
Training sessions are mixed and open to all levels, with the goal of building confidence in all players and creating a performance-friendly atmosphere for everyone.
For players in the goalkeeper position, specific sessions will be organized throughout the week to work on the fundamentals of this position.
Coaches and coaching method
The “Play the Arsenal Way” philosophy is implemented in all training sessions. The Head Coach is UEFA certified, and all others have “English Football Association Youth” certification.
All children participating in the camp will receive their progression certificate at the end.
Staff and activities
Supervisors are present on campus 24/7.
Your children will be taken care of by the soccer coaches on the field, and the team of supervisors will be responsible for the daily life moments to make your child’s stay unforgettable and to ensure that they lack nothing.
Trips and days out
For two-week stays, children will have the opportunity to enjoy two days of excursions to relax and unwind between the two weeks of the camp.
The first excursion that children eagerly anticipate is the visit to the Emirates Stadium, the famous Arsenal stadium. This privileged visit includes access to the locker rooms, the press conference room, the pitchside area, and the Museum. A stop at the gift shop is also planned if they wish to bring back a souvenir from this wonderful experience.
On the second excursion day, a city tour is scheduled to discover the main landmarks, enjoy some shopping, and take a break together.
Language Class
For children who have chosen the “English & soccer” program, 15 hours of English lessons will be provided to them each week in addition to the 15 hours of soccer training.
The English lessons are conducted by qualified and passionate teachers who use an interactive and engaging method to ensure that students feel comfortable and confident.
An assessment will be conducted to evaluate each child’s English level to ensure they are placed in the appropriate groups to guarantee their progress.
Each day, children will participate in three separate lessons to develop their vocabulary, improve their oral and written expression, and boost their self-confidence. The three lessons are structured as follows:
- English Core: Vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation
- Enrichment: Oral communication, listening comprehension, reading, and writing
- Projects: Application of learning through a group project
To ensure the best possible learning experience, the language classes in Arsenal FC camps have no more than 14 students per teacher.
A certificate and a teacher’s evaluation will be provided at the end of the camp.

A QUESTION ABOUT THIS CAMP?
How does the arrival at the campus work?
Arrival at the Campus:
- Check-in
- Deposit of valuables, including pocket money and travel documents, which will be securely stored
- We encourage your child to call you to confirm their safe arrival
Your child is escorted to their room - Brief introduction to the camp
- Tour of the facility
- Activity/game or dinner (depending on the arrival time)
- The first day begins with an introduction to the site and assessment tests.
- Your child will participate in various activities that will help them integrate quickly and make new friends
How does the departure from the campus work?
The departure list will be posted two days before the planned departure date, with departure times for all children concerned. Departure times are calculated according to the transport time from the centre to the departure point and the check-in time for your child’s train/plane.
If your child believes that a mistake has been made regarding their departure time, they should inform an Administrator who will check their ticket and make any necessary changes.
On the day of departure, your child must pack all his/her belongings and be ready for the departure time that has been communicated to him/her.
They will then be taken to their airport or Eurostar station by taxi, minibus, coach or, in some cases, public transport.
Who will take care of my child during the camp?
The staff-to-child ratio is 1 to 4, ensuring excellent supervision.
The teams are all enthusiastic, motivated, and professional. Before working for the Arsenal camp, all staff members must undergo a DBS Check (a background and criminal record check conducted by a non-ministerial public organization). They must also receive training in first aid, pastoral care, and be familiar with hygiene and safety procedures. The sports coaches are fully qualified, have extensive experience, or are former players in the sport they teach. The English teachers all hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate.
Additionally, all staff members live on-site, ensuring continuous supervision of the children 24/7, both on and off-site. Some centers are also equipped with CCTV. The staff’s accommodations are adjacent to those of the children. Anyone attempting to leave the center at night, risking their safety and that of others, will be immediately dismissed.
How can I contact my child during the camp?
An emergency contact number will be provided to you before the start of the camp so that you can communicate with your child.
My child is participating in the camp alone, I am concerned about their adjustment:
Most participants come to the camp without their friends and family. Children who are attending the camp alone will be grouped with other players of the same age who are also attending alone. The first session of each course is designed to help all individual players integrate into a team and make new friends.
Medical services on-site and prescription medications provided:
If necessary, medical assistants and first-aiders may administer over-the-counter medications (such as paracetamol) to your child unless you have provided written instructions to the contrary.
All campuses are located near a medical center, and they will arrange an appointment with a doctor if necessary.
Can I request that my child be in the same room as their friend?
If you would like your child to share a room with a friend or family member, please indicate this during your online booking and at least 4 weeks before the start of the camp. Please note that we cannot guarantee all requests, and sometimes you may need to make the request again in person on the first day of the camp.
It’s my child’s birthday during the camp:
It’s always better to remind us that your child will celebrate their birthday during the camp. They can celebrate it with their new friends with a birthday cake.
Can I send mail to my child?
If you want to send a letter or a package to your child during their stay, you will find the address of the campus on the document we will provide you with a few days before the start of the camp.
What are the evening activities?
Every evening, there is a diverse entertainment program in which both children and youth leader participate. These activities allow everyone to get to know each other better while having fun.
Some examples of entertainment include quiz night, movie night, game night, karaoke, and disco.
At what time do the children go to bed?
All children must be in bed between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM, depending on their age.
Is there specific training for goalkeepers?
Yes! It is available as an option and free of charge at the time of registration. Your child will have specific training sessions.
How are the bathrooms and children’s bedding maintained?
The bathrooms are cleaned every day, and the bed linens are changed once a week, on Saturdays.
What should I pack in my suitcase for the camp?
Players should bring:
- T-shirts/tops/sweatshirts: 5 or more
- Pants/shorts/bottoms: 5 or more
- Underwear: 5 or more
- Slippers: 1 pair
- Pajamas: 2 sets
- Swimming suits: 2
- Rainwear: 1
- Bath towel: 1
- Pool towel: 1
- Toiletries kit: 1
- Cap and sunscreen: 1 each
- Backpack: 1
- Water bottle: 1
- At least one pair of molded soccer cleats, one pair of sneakers, shin guards, soccer socks (at least 5 pairs), and sports T-shirts and shorts (at least 5 sets).
- All clothing should be labeled with the player’s name and surnamePlease do not bring jewelry and valuable clothing, luxury luggage, or expensive electronic devices.
Is my child allowed to bring electronic devices or valuable items?
If your child wishes to bring valuable items to the camp, such as iPods, tablets, phones, cameras, etc., we recommend that they hand them over to the center director or center administrator upon arrival for safekeeping.
The camp takes no responsibility in case of loss or theft of valuable items.
Is there a laundry service?
If your child is staying for one week, they should bring approximately 7 days’ worth of clothing, as there will NOT be a laundry service.
If your child is staying for more than one week, a free laundry service will be provided at the end of each week. Clothing will be collected, washed, dried, and returned approximately 2 days later, provided that they are labeled with your child’s name.
Can I give pocket money to my child?
We recommend bringing a small amount of pocket money for souvenirs, snacks, and occasional purchases. Children staying for more than one week will participate in at least two excursions and will also enjoy an evening entertainment program, which may be off-site for older age groups.
However, we ask that you do not provide excessive amounts of money, and do not give euros or other currencies as there is no currency exchange available. All pocket money should be in British Pounds Sterling.
What amount of pocket money do you recommend for the week?
We recommend between 50 and 100 British Pounds Sterling.
Will my child’s money and travel documents (passport, tickets, etc.) be kept securely during the camp?
Yes, all passports, tickets, and pocket money will be kept by the center manager or center administrator for added security.
Which type of visa do I need to travel to England?
Visa requirements can change frequently. Please contact your local British embassy for the most up-to-date information regarding travel to England.
I chose the camp with language courses, how will you group participants by level?
Two weeks before your child arrives at the camp, they will need to take an online English assessment to accurately evaluate their English proficiency level before the camp begins. This will help in forming groups effectively.
How does the airport/train station transfer work when my child arrives?
When you choose the transfer option, players are greeted in the arrivals hall by a camp representative. Camp staff will wait if other players arrive at similar times before taking them all to their accommodation. For their return journey, players will be checked in and escorted through security in time for their flight. Staff will remain at the airport or train station until all flights or trains have departed. Players will be supervised continuously by a camp staff member before security checks for departures and after security checks for arrivals.
Due to the high volume of passengers at airports during the summer, buses and minibusses are sometimes delayed on their way to reach terminal meeting points. This is unfortunately beyond our control.
