It’s a complete change of scenery for your children as they will be in the English countryside—a place of natural beauty and tranquility. This location is highly sought after by those looking to hike, cycle, and engage in other outdoor activities. It’s the perfect place for a soccer camp and to breathe in the fresh countryside air.
This town also offers your child an incredible architectural spectacle with its beautiful church. The region is also home to numerous historic castles.
This Arsenal soccer camp will allow your child to experience a stay in the heart of nature in a secure environment with modern facilities, far removed from their usual lifestyle during the year.
Accommodation
Clayesmore School is a private school known for its commitment to academic and athletic excellence. It welcomes both boys and girls throughout the year and possesses facilities, whether in terms of accommodation or sports, that provide an ideal setting for a soccer camp.
The children will stay in the residences at Clayesmore School (separate accommodations for boys and girls). The Arsenal staff will handle room assignments. You can request in advance if your child wishes to share a room with a friend.
During their free time, the children can gather in the Clubhouses, common areas equipped with TV, sofas, video games, or board games. The goal is to spend time together and strengthen the bond among all the children. Wi-Fi is available on the campus.
Clayesmore School is a campus where everything is conveniently located on-site: lodging, dining facilities, Clubhouses, and soccer fields. Your children will have a soccer-focused experience on this campus, much like young players do in a soccer academy. It’s a campus adorned in Arsenal colors for an unforgettable soccer camp.
The sporting Facilities
This Arsenal camp will provide ideal playing conditions for your child. Indeed, Clayesmore School boasts modern facilities because they consider sports to be at the core of a child’s personal development.
Your children will train on natural grass soccer fields. There are also many synthetic fields available depending on the weather. The school also has a gymnasium in case indoor training is required. Your child is guaranteed to have quality soccer training.
Apart from soccer, this campus also offers numerous sports facilities. There are tennis courts, hockey fields, badminton courts, squash courts, a spacious gymnasium, and a 25-meter indoor swimming pool.
So, in an environment dedicated to sports and performance, your child will undergo their Arsenal soccer camp.
Catering and food
The Arsenal soccer camp at Clayesmore School is offered only on a full board basis. Your children will be on campus for one or two weeks. All meals are included: breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.
Meals will be served in the campus restaurant.
If your child has allergies or follows a specific dietary regimen, it is important to inform us in advance at the time of registration. This information will be taken into account to provide them with suitable meals.
Safety and security
The Clayesmore campus welcomes numerous students each year throughout the academic year. Therefore, there is extensive experience in terms of security. The school is fully secure, and access is controlled. Moreover, your child will never be alone and will always be under adult supervision: coaches during training sessions, teachers during English classes, and the rest of the time, the animation team and the supervisory team. They are supervised 24/7.

Training
At Clayesmore School, Arsenal FC offers two different programs depending on whether your child wants to focus solely on soccer or if they want to combine soccer with English lessons.
- In the 100% Soccer program, your child will have two training sessions per day (morning and afternoon), totaling approximately 30 hours of training per week.
- In the Soccer + English program, your child will have one training session and one English class per day, resulting in 15 hours of training and 15 hours of English classes per week.
The training program used in Arsenal soccer camps is derived from the Arsenal Development Academy. It’s the program taught to all the club’s youth teams. Therefore, the Technical Director has adapted this program, called “Play the Arsenal Way,” for Arsenal’s summer camps. It’s a program based on 3-hour training sessions during which they work on all aspects of being a soccer player: technical exercises, tactics, and situational play. All exercises are geared towards a single goal: the technical development of each player and a better understanding of the game.
In addition to focusing on intense soccer training, the mental aspect is not overlooked. It’s important to instill the club’s values in the children and ensure that each child is fulfilled and confident.
Goalkeepers will also have the opportunity to participate in specific goalkeeper training sessions during this Arsenal camp. You simply need to mention it at the time of registration.
Coaches and coaching method
In this Arsenal camp, as well as in other campus programs, the method taught to players is “Play the Arsenal Way.” This method is implemented in all of the club’s youth teams and is inspired by the playing style of the professional team. The Technical Director of the Academy has adapted this method to create one or two-week programs specifically for Arsenal soccer camps.
To best convey this method to all the children, experienced coaches are present at Arsenal soccer camps. The Head Coach holds a UEFA coaching qualification, and all other coaches have, at a minimum, a recognized certification from the “English Football Association Youth”. They are well-versed in coaching young soccer players and know how to bring out the best in each child. Your child will receive a progress certificate at the end of the camp so that parents can track their development.
Staff and activities
Your children will spend most of their time on the soccer fields or in English classes, but during their free time, at the restaurant, during activities, or on excursions, the supervisory team takes over to ensure the daily well-being of the children.
They are responsible for making your children’s stay enjoyable and addressing their needs or emergencies. Your children are under adult supervision 24/7.
Trips and days out
For players who choose the 2-week camp, there are two excursions offered on the weekends. It’s an opportunity for the players to relax and rest before resuming training for the second week.
The highlight and most anticipated excursion is the visit to the Emirates Stadium. Your children will have the chance to explore this iconic stadium, go into the professional team’s locker rooms, visit the press room, go to the edge of the field, explore its museum, and take a tour of the club’s official store. An unforgettable experience for your children.
On the second day, they will go on a city tour and visit historical landmarks. It will be a leisurely day with sightseeing, shopping, and even the opportunity to stop for a coffee.
Language Class
Participating in an Arsenal soccer camp is also an opportunity to work on and improve English skills if you choose the Soccer + English option. In addition to soccer training, your children will have 3 hours of English classes each day.
The English classes at Arsenal camps are taught by qualified and passionate English teachers. The teaching method is focused on three lessons and is recognized in England:
- English Core: Lessons that emphasize vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
- Enrichment: Lessons that focus on communication and oral comprehension, reading, and writing.
- Projects: Group projects that allow children to work together on topics related to sports.
In addition to receiving instruction from professionals, your children will benefit from quality education because there are no more than 14 students per teacher. This allows teachers to provide individualized attention to each child.
Lastly, it’s important to note that learning will be continuous because your children will be immersed in a 100% English-speaking environment during their soccer camp, both on and off the field.

A QUESTION ABOUT THIS CAMP?
How does the arrival at the campus work?
Here’s the rundown of the arrival at the campus:
1. Registration
2. Safekeeping of valuable items, including pocket money and travel documents
3. Encouragement for your child to call you to confirm their safe arrival
4. Your child is escorted to their room
5. Brief orientation about the program
6. Tour of the facility
7. Activity/game or dinner (depending on the arrival time)
The first day begins with an introduction to the site and assessment tests. Your child will participate in various activities to help them integrate quickly and make new friends.
How does the departure from the campus work?
The departure list will be posted two days before the scheduled departure date, with departure times for all the children involved. Departure times are calculated based on the travel time from the center to the departure point and your child’s train/flight check-in time. If your child believes that there has been a mistake regarding their departure time, they should inform an Administrator who will check their ticket and make any necessary changes.
On the day of departure, your child must pack all their belongings and be ready for the designated departure time they have been informed of.
They will then be transported to their airport or Eurostar station by taxi, minibus, coach, or, in some cases, public transportation.
Who will take care of my child during the camp?
The staff-to-child ratio is 1 to 4, ensuring excellent supervision.
All teams are enthusiastic, motivated, and professional. Before working for the Arsenal camp, all staff members must undergo a DBS Check (background and criminal record check conducted by a non-ministerial public body). They also receive training in first aid, pastoral care, and familiarize themselves with hygiene and safety procedures. Sports coaches are fully qualified, have extensive experience, or are former players in the sport they teach. English teachers all hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate.
Additionally, all staff members live on-site, ensuring 24-hour supervision both on-site and off-site. Some centers are equipped with CCTV. Staff accommodations are adjacent to the children’s rooms. Anyone attempting to leave the center at night, risking their own safety and that of others, will be immediately dismissed.
How can I contact my child during the camp?
An emergency contact number will be provided to you before the start of the camp so that you can communicate with your child.
My child is participating in the camp alone, and I’m worried about their adjustment:
Most participants come to the camp without their friends and family. Children attending the camp alone will be grouped with other players of the same age who are also attending alone. The first session of each course is designed to help all individual players integrate into a team and make new friends
Medical services on-site and prescription medications provided:
If necessary, medical assistants and first-aid personnel may administer over-the-counter medications (such as paracetamol) to your child unless you provide written instructions to the contrary.
All campuses are located near a medical center, and they will arrange an appointment with a doctor if necessary.
Can I request that my child share a room with their friend?
If you would like your child to share a room with a friend or family member, please specify this during your online booking, and do so at least 4 weeks before the start of the camp. Please note that we cannot guarantee all requests, and sometimes it may be necessary to make the request again on the first day of the camp on-site.
It’s my child’s birthday during the camp:
It’s always best to remind us if your child will be celebrating their birthday during the camp. They can celebrate it with their new friends with a birthday cake
Can I send mail to my child?
If you wish to send a letter or a package to your child during their stay, you will find the address of the campus on the document we provide you with a few days before the start of the camp.
What are the evening activities?
Every evening, there is a diverse entertainment program that children and instructors participate in. These activities help everyone get to know each other better while having fun.
Some examples of entertainment include quiz night, movie night, game night, karaoke, and disco.
What time do the children go to bed?
All children must be in bed between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM, depending on their age:
Is there specific training for goalkeepers?
Yes! The specific goalkeeper option is available. It should be specified at the time of registration in the options.
How are the bathrooms and children’s bedding maintained?
The bathrooms are cleaned daily, and the bed linens are changed once a week on Saturdays.
What should I pack in my child’s suitcase for the camp?
Players should bring:
– 5 or more T-shirts/tops/sweatshirts
– 5 or more pants/shorts/bottoms
– 5 or more sets of underwear
– One pair of slippers/two pajamas & 2 swimsuits
– Rain gear
– One shower towel/One pool towel/Toiletry kit
– A cap and a tube of sunscreen
– A backpack
– A water bottle
– At least one pair of molded soccer cleats, one pair of sneakers, shin guards, soccer socks (at least 5 or more), sports T-shirts, and shorts (at least 5 or more)
All clothing should be labeled with the player’s name and surname.
Please refrain from bringing jewelry and valuable clothing, luxury luggage, or expensive electronic devices.
Is my child allowed to bring electronic devices or valuables?
If your child wishes to bring valuable items to the camp, such as iPods, tablets, phones, cameras, etc., we recommend that they hand them over to the center director or center administrator upon arrival for safekeeping.
The camp assumes no responsibility in case of loss or theft of valuable items.
Is there a laundry service?
If your child is staying for one week, they should bring approximately 7 days’ worth of clothing as there will be NO laundry service.
If your child is staying for more than one week, a free laundry service will be provided every weekend. Clothes will be collected, washed, dried, and returned approximately 2 days later, provided they are labeled with your child’s name.
Can I give pocket money to my child?
We recommend bringing a small amount of pocket money for souvenirs, snacks, and occasional purchases. Children staying for more than one week will participate in at least two excursions and also enjoy an evening entertainment program, which may be off-site for older children.
However, we ask that you do not provide excessive amounts of money, and do not provide euros or other currencies as there is no currency exchange available. All pocket money should be in British pounds sterling.
How much pocket money do you recommend for the week?
We recommend between 50 and 100 British Pounds Sterling.
Will my child’s money and travel documents (passport, tickets, etc.) be kept secure during the camp?
Yes, all passports, tickets, and pocket money will be kept by the center director or center administrator for added security.
What type of visa do I need to travel to England?
Visa requirements are subject to change. Please contact your local British embassy for the most up-to-date information regarding travel to England.
I have chosen the camp with language lessons, how will you group the students by level?
Two weeks before your child arrives at the camp, they will need to take an online English assessment to accurately assess their English proficiency level before the camp begins. This will help form groups effectively.
How does the Airport/Train Station transfer work when my child arrives?
When you choose the transfer option, players are welcomed in the arrivals hall by a representative of the camp. The camp staff will wait if other players arrive at similar times before taking them all to their accommodation. For their return journey, players will be checked in and escorted through security checks in time for their flight. The staff will remain at the airport or train station until all flights or trains have departed. Players will be continuously supervised by a camp staff member before departure security checks and after arrival security checks.
Due to the summer crowds at airports, buses and minibusses are sometimes delayed in reaching the terminal meeting points. This is unfortunately a factor beyond our control.
