Why do a Portugal football camp ?
Portugal is a beautiful country in the west of Europe, with Spain to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. There is so much to visit in Portugal, from its cities that are bursting with life like Porto or Lisbon, to its exceptional beaches to its excellent cuisine.
Even just the landscape of Portugal is worth experiencing firsthand. Rolling hills basked in sunlight go on for miles, with cities and towns dotted around. It has an authentic feel that reminds people of times past. However, if you just want a lazy vacation, Portugal is again a fantastic destination, with its beaches and a population that loves partying.
As well as all of that, Portugal is a very reasonably priced country. Food, travel, public transport, accommodation, it all relatively cheap in Portugal compared to some other European countries. It is a country with great weather, great landscape, great beaches and it’s all accessible thanks to its great prices.
Portugal, a historic footballing country
Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player to ever emerge from Portugal. However, there have been other Portuguese stars who have played football in recent decades.
Deco, Nani, Luis Figo, Eusebio are all examples of world class players with a certain flair that seems unique to Portuguese players.
Although Portugal are fantastic in attack, they are also a solid team defensively. On their way to winning Euro 2016, it was their defensive resilience that proved crucial.
Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho are also among the best defenders of the early 21st century. So no matter what position your child plays in, they will have something to learn from Portuguese football.
