Uppingham School is one of the most prestigious schools in England, renowned for its history and facilities. It ranks among the very best in terms of academic excellence and innovation. This naturally means offering top-level facilities to host the English elite. The school provides an inspiring environment that blends tradition and modernity. Each year, it attracts students from all over the world and welcomes young footballers during the summer.
Your children will stay in shared rooms of four, grouped by age and gender. The accommodations include a Clubhouse, where students can relax and spend time together between or after training sessions. Wi-Fi access is available in the common areas such as the Clubhouse, but not in the bedrooms, in order to ensure a healthy digital break during the week.
The camp is perfectly designed, with the accommodations located next to the football pitches and the dining hall, allowing everything to be done on foot so that your child can fully experience a football training camp like a professional player.
The sporting Facilities
During the Tottenham Hotspur football camps, players will train in state-of-the-art sports facilities. Uppingham School boasts 65 hectares dedicated to sports, including a 25-metre swimming pool, a recently renovated fitness centre, a sports hall, a gymnastics room, three squash courts, and two dance studios.
Outdoors, the campus features twelve tennis courts, nine rugby pitches, five hockey fields, two lacrosse pitches, as well as basketball and cricket courts.
Throughout the Tottenham camps, your children will train on one of the three natural grass football pitches, with an artificial pitch available in case of bad weather.
Catering and food
The Tottenham Hotspur football camps are offered on a full-board basis only, meaning that all meals are included : breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. The menus are varied, featuring both English and international dishes to cater to all tastes and nutritional needs.
All special diets and allergies will be taken into account, provided they are clearly specified in the registration form.

Training
Your children will have the opportunity to follow a football programme designed by the professional coaches of the Tottenham Hotspur Academy. The programme consists of 30 hours per week, divided into three main areas:
- On-pitch training
These sessions are designed and delivered by the coaches responsible for developing young players at Tottenham Hotspur. The aim is to improve technique, ball skills and tactical understanding. Different sessions cover areas such as dribbling, passing, control, shooting, 1v1, positional play, defensive and offensive tactics, tactical briefings, and player communication. It is a very complete programme that equips players with all the tools they need to continue progressing when they return to their club. - Strength and conditioning
These sessions are run by the school staff who work with athletes throughout the year. The focus is on developing the children’s physical condition, agility and speed. They will participate in sessions covering athletic principles, aerobic training, balance, coordination, physical performance and personal discipline. - Football workshops
During these sessions, campers will learn the key factors for success at a high level, such as injury prevention, nutrition, mental preparation, strategy, resilience and personal responsibility.
This is a comprehensive programme designed for young football enthusiasts who want to improve their skills and make the most of their Tottenham Hotspur football camp experience.
Coaches and coaching method
During the Tottenham football camps, the training methodology follows the Tottenham Hotspur Academy approach. The sessions are delivered by the club’s youth development coaches, who are highly qualified with FA and UEFA licences. They have extensive experience in developing young players and will do everything possible to ensure your child makes progress during the camp week.
For the workshops and strength and conditioning sessions, the programme is designed by the British Summer School coaches in collaboration with the club. These are professionals who work at the school throughout the year and share their expertise and know-how during the Tottenham football camps.
Staff and activities
When children are not on the football pitches, a variety of evening activities are organised to ensure an unforgettable week. There are two main highlights in terms of entertainment:
Mission: Integration!
On the arrival evening (Sunday), an activity is organised to help all children get to know each other and break the ice. The goal is to prepare the group for the week ahead through fun, interactive activities that encourage team bonding and social interaction.
BSS Experience
This is the school staff’s evening activity programme, consisting of a series of fun games and challenges designed to foster personal development, self-confidence and public speaking skills.
Trips and days out
During this football camp week, players will visit either:
-
The iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the chance to enjoy a private tour of this state-of-the-art venue, including the changing rooms, pitchside, conference rooms and museum.
-
The professional team’s training centre, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional football club operates.
