Training
The Racing Santander football camp is a high-performance football camp designed to help your child improve in a wide range of areas.
The days consist of 4 training sessions per day. Racing Santander’s methodology is based on 4 fundamental pillars:
- Technique: Particular attention is paid to perfecting each child’s technical skills. Starting with peripheral vision before receiving the ball, to quick decision-making once the ball is between their feet. Then, the work on technical precision and speed of execution is repeated so that it comes naturally in matches.
- Tactics: Racing Santander’s instructors have devised strategies to give your child a better understanding of their position. With a better understanding of their position on the pitch and how to build a team block, your child will be able to contribute effectively to their team’s collective play.
Physical fitness: This intensive one-week program works on endurance, speed, agility and strength so that your child reaches his or her maximum potential during the week, and then in the new season with his or her club. - Emotional intelligence: Racing Santander trainers are convinced that mental and emotional strength are key success factors. By incorporating psychological efforts during training sessions, your child will develop self-confidence, increased concentration and therefore more effective handling of crucial situations in a football match.
Training sessions include group work as well as individual work. Particular attention is paid to your child’s weaknesses. Using an innovative methodology, the sessions are dynamic and effective so that your child can get the most out of this week of intensive training.
A specialist program for goalkeepers is also available if your child plays in this position.
Coaches and coaching method
The implementation of the Racing Santander methodology and the training of the coaches present during the training week are guaranteed by the club’s technical and management staff.
The coaches selected are trained and experienced in working with young people. They work all year round at the Palencia Academy or at professional football clubs.
They are used to helping youngsters progress and motivating them to reach their full potential.
Staff and activities
As well as football training, the coaches also organise extra-curricular activities and games in the residence or at the training camp.
Throughout the football camp, your child will be accompanied by a professional adult to ensure his or her safety.
