Location
The FC Porto camp in Italy takes place in 5 different cities to allow you to enroll your child no matter where you go or where you live in Italy.
It is held in 5 different cities in Italy:
- FC Porto camp in Rome: your child will undergo a week of football training in the capital of the country. Rome is globally renowned for being the largest open-air museum in the world.
- FC Porto camp in Villafranca: located a few kilometers from the city of Verona, the city renowned thanks to Romeo and Juliet.
- FC Porto camp in Misano: an incredible location by the Adriatic Sea for a unique football camp experience.
- FC Porto camp in Rivisondoli: Located in the heart of the Maiella National Park, this town will offer ideal conditions for a football camp with perfect weather and incredible mountain views.
- FC Porto camp in Sestola: this camp will take place in one of Italy’s most touristy locations. Sestola is situated in a valley dominated by Mount Cimone and the famous Sestola Castle.
These are locations chosen by FC Porto to offer ideal training conditions for your children with perfect weather and infrastructure for a football camp.
Accommodation
For all FC Porto camps in Italy, the children will be accommodated in carefully selected modern hotels chosen by the FC Porto staff so that the children can have the hotel and football fields within walking distance.
Here are the 5 hotels where your children will stay depending on the city you choose for their FC Porto football camp:
- Rome: Hotel Jean-Paul II located right next to the Olympic Stadium at the top of Monte Mario Park.
- Villafranca: Hotel Antares Sport and Wellness located 12km from Verona offers an incredible setting for performance with its modern rooms, outdoor pool, and 10 natural grass football fields.
- Misano: Hotel Ariston located 700m from the beach of Misano Adriatico. The hotel is fully privatized for the FC Porto camp.
- Rivisondoli: Grand Hotel Europa is a 3*** hotel located in the heart of the mountains. A region favored by sports enthusiasts where your children will spend an unforgettable week.
- Sestola: Hotel Al Poggio is a 3*** hotel with a beautiful outdoor pool that will be fully reserved for the FC Porto football camp.
All rooms will be shared in each hotel with a private bathroom and air conditioning. These are spacious and comfortable rooms. There will be Wi-Fi access as well as a TV and games in the common areas.
The sporting Facilities
The FC Porto camps are conducted under optimal conditions in all 5 cities. They all have state-of-the-art natural or synthetic grass football fields either adjacent to the hotel or within a few minutes’ walk.
Your children will thus be able to train twice a day on quality fields with professional coaches.
Depending on the camp you choose, they will also have access to a swimming pool and a gym.
Catering and food
The FC Porto football camps in Italy are all available on half-board and full-board basis. With full-board, accommodation as well as all meals are included. Your child will have breakfast at 08:00, lunch at 13:30, and dinner at 19:00.
If you choose to enroll them on a half-board basis, lunch will be included.
If your child has any allergies or follows a special diet, we kindly ask you to inform us in the registration form so that it can be properly taken into account.
Safety and security
The FC Porto football camps are 100% secure. Most of the hotels are privatized for the camp, so only the FC Porto staff and the children will be present. Additionally, the fields are adjacent to or very close to the hotels, which limits travel. Finally, your children will be with experienced supervisors who are accustomed to working with children. Your children will always be accompanied by an adult, 24/7.

Training
Your child will be immersed in the FC Porto experience for a week with its coaches and methodology. A unique training methodology recognized worldwide through players trained at FC Porto who have become great professional football players.
During the 4 hours of training per day (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon), your child will become a more complete player. They will have training sessions following those of the FC Porto professional academy. There will be sessions focused on technique and tactics while aiming to apply them in match situations. There will be both individual and collective work as well as match situations so that players can practice the exercises on a full-size field.
This method is unique because the sessions emphasize the position of each player on the field.
That’s why goalkeepers will also have specific sessions to develop the very particular skills that this position requires.
Finally, your child will immerse themselves in the culture of FC Porto. In contact with the coaches who come from FC Porto, children will imbibe the culture of effort and winning as well as the club’s values.
Coaches and coaching method
This FC Porto camp in Italy is highly renowned in Italy due to the quality of the coaches. They are all official FC Porto coaches who come from the club’s youth categories. They are certified and qualified coaches who will pay special attention to each child and guide them towards excellence.
This individual attention is possible because the players will be divided into small groups so that the coaches can spend time with each player to help them progress.
Staff and activities
When players are not on the fields, the FC Porto football camp staff will organize games and activities, especially in the evenings, to strengthen team spirit and cohesion. There are also activities planned during the lunch break so that players can relax before their second training session.
Trips and days out
There are no specific excursions during the FC Porto football camps in Italy; however, at the end of the camp, the top players will be selected to live an experience in Porto, Portugal. Indeed, selected players will have the opportunity to train at the FC Porto Academy and live an exceptional experience!

Arrival
The FC Porto camps start on Sunday for all players (full board and half board). They must arrive at 4:00 PM to participate in the presentation ceremony.
Starting from Monday, players on half board must arrive every morning at 8:30 AM and depart at 6:00 PM.
Departure
The FC Porto camps in Italy end on Friday after the final training session at 6:00 PM. All parents must pick up their children before 6:30 PM at the latest.
