Location
North Los Angeles offers a unique balance between natural surroundings, quality of life, and a relaxed urban atmosphere. Comprising neighbourhoods such as San Fernando, Northridge, Pasadena, and Burbank, it is known for its green spaces, sun-drenched hills, and proximity to major natural parks like the Santa Monica Mountains.
Less densely populated than central L.A., the northern part of the city appeals with its family-friendly, safe, and welcoming atmosphere, while still being close to major sporting and cultural facilities. Youโll find numerous modern sports complexes, international schools, well-maintained parks, and a strong culture of sport and well-being.
Itโs an ideal location for an FC Barcelona football camp, in an environment that promotes focus, enjoyment of the game, and personal development. North Los Angeles brings together the very best of California: sunshine, space, positive energy, and a caring spirit.
The sporting Facilities
The Glendale Sports Complex, located in the peaceful hills of the San Rafael neighbourhood in northern Los Angeles, is a modern sports facility spanning nearly 11 hectares, offering an exceptional natural setting for sporting activities. Surrounded by trails such as the Catalina Verdugo Trail, it blends nature, tranquillity, and accessibility.
The site features synthetic turf football pitches, baseball and softball fields, as well as a central building with changing rooms, meeting rooms, and a food service area. The complex regularly hosts tournaments, training camps, and major sporting events.
Easily accessible from Los Angeles, it combines high-quality infrastructure, a calm environment, and environmental awareness, making it an ideal location for an FC Barcelona football camp
Catering and food
Each day, a well-structured lunch break is scheduled between 11:45 am and 12:30 pm, offering children a real moment of rest away from the intense pace of the pitches. It is an important time to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful environment. To ensure their well-being, it is recommended to provide a balanced meal along with a water bottle or flask, essential for staying properly hydrated throughout the day.
The camp programme is carefully designed to respect the physiological needs of young players. Regular breaks are included so they can rest, hydrate, and enjoy a snack provided by FC Barcelona. More than just a training schedule, this approach aims to promote balance between performance, recovery, and personal development in a warm, reassuring atmosphere that is always attentive to each child.
Safety and security
From the very first moments, children are welcomed into a caring and secure environment, specifically designed to make them feel comfortable, listened to, and encouraged. Every aspect of the camp is carefully crafted to ensure their overall well-being, combining attentive supervision, respect for individual pace, and genuine consideration for their unique personality.
This camp goes far beyond traditional training: it is a powerful human experience, where football becomes a means of learning to trust oneself, to collaborate, to express oneself fully, and to grow in a healthy and supportive environment. The ball is no longer just a tool for playโit becomes a true vehicle for education, respect, and self-esteem.
In the spirit of FC Barcelona, children are guided by kind and passionate professionals, ready to offer them a week of personal growthโboth on the pitch and in life.
