Training
Your children, by participating in the Rome City football camp, will follow an intensive and professional training program designed by certified coaches who have worked in professional clubs.
They will undergo the SMI method, which aims to inspire players to become leaders capable of solving problems on and off the field. Players will follow a program that promotes cognitive, mechanical, psychological, technical, physiological, and tactical development. This methodology aims to develop players both individually and collectively into complete football players.
For this purpose, there are daily football training sessions on the fields with a focus on exercise quality and intensity. There will be small-group technical exercises, tactical exercises, and situational drills. Your children will also have gym sessions as well as video analysis sessions of training and matches. This helps accelerate learning by reviewing strengths and weaknesses and allows coaches to tailor future training sessions.
This Rome City football camp is also open to goalkeepers. They will have specific training sessions with goalkeeper coaches.
Coaches and coaching method
The coaches at the Rome City football camp are all certified and experienced. There is the Head Coach of the Italian U19 Women’s National Team, the goalkeeper coach who works at Lazio in Rome, the Director of Performance for the Italian U20 National Team, and the Head of Youth Development at Sampdoria in Genoa. Therefore, your children will be under the guidance of a professional staff.
The goal is to develop players both individually and collectively to become complete football players. To achieve this, the SMI method is used during the Rome City football camps. It consists of technical and tactical exercises, all aimed at enhancing the players’ understanding of the game. The objective is to train leaders on the field.
Staff and activities
Your children will be supervised 24/7 by the Rome City Institute staff. Whether on the field or off the field, they will ensure the well-being of the players and make sure their stay goes as smoothly as possible.
The staff has experience with young football players, working with them throughout the year, and they will be there for them throughout the football camp.
