Camp facilities
Location
The camp takes place at the Centre Techinque Régional (Regional Technical Centre) in Châteauroux, in the Centre-Val de Loire region in the west of France. Thanks to its prestigious heritage, both culturally and historically, the Val de Loire is the largest French site to ever become a UNESCO world heritage site.
Located in the heart of Berry, the CTR extends itself over 7 acres, a true safe haven for athletes. These are ideal conditions for playing football.Â
Accommodation
Your child will sleep in triple beds, with two teammates. All rooms include single beds, wardrobes, high debit internet connections, a desk and chairs. Toilets and bathrooms are shared between two rooms.
Common rooms with games will be at your child’s disposition throughout the camp, to make sure that they can relax during their free time.
The sporting Facilities
The CTR has over seven acres of land. Thanks to its very high quality structures, facilities and buildings, the following are on site: two grass pitches, one artificial turf pitch, two modular playgrounds, a beach soccer pitch, a fitness trail and even two indoor futsal courts! If that wasn’t enough, there is also a balneotherapy area: most professional clubs don’t have the kind of facilities the CTR has.
Lots of professional players have trained at the CTR: Florian Thauvin (World Cup Winner in 2018), Abdou Diallo (Paris-Saint-Germain, AFCON winner in 2021), Valère Germain (Montpellier HSC), Morgan Sanson (Aston Villa), Adam Ounas (Napoli) and many others. They can all testify to the quality of the centre and its sporting facilities.
Catering and food
Nutrition and diet are one of the most crucial tools to succeed for high level sportsmen. That is why the chef will prepare meals specifically designed to fulfil the needs of your child.
Dietary requirements and allergies will be taken into account at your request.
Safety and security
The CTR is a secure, closed off area. As well as that, all the coaches and staff are trained so that they can safely care for the children.
The camp program
Training
Every day, qualified coaches will prepare tailor-made training sessions for your child, based on their age and their level.
Therefore, they will be in the optimal conditions to improve and progress: tactically, technically, physically and mentally. Drills specifically targeting your child’s weaknesses and reinforcing their strengths will make your child better in all aspects of his game.
With 2 to 4 hours of training and playing football a day, your kid will be training just like a professional player.
Of course, goalkeepers will participate in all training sessions but there will also be specific keeper drills. Our qualified goalkeeper coach will take care of those exercises.
Each kid will train wearing the Nike “United World Academy” training kit that is given to each camper. The kits will be washed after each training session and be put into the dressing room for them to change into before training sessions. Just like the pros!
Coaches and coaching method
Your child will be training under the supervision of highly qualified coaches, renowned for their know-how. With lots of experience coaching and shaping future professional players, they will give your child the keys and tools they need to get to the next level in their footballing journey.
Staff and activities
After the effort the campers put into training, they easily deserve a reward and some relaxing. Each day, the staff will offer one or more non-football activities. From bowling to table football to accrobranche (a rope park high up in the trees), your child will have access to lots of funny activities. This will help them clear their head, bond with their campmates and make some unforgettable memories and experiences.Â
