There is a Real Madrid Campus Experience for everyone who loves soccer, being suited to all levels and abilities. The Campus experience is a camp designed for all players aged from nine to seventeen, with a focus on developing the basics of soccer while the High Performance Campus Experience is ideal for more advanced players.
The High Performance Camp is exclusively for advanced players. This is because the training sessions are more intense to maximise progress and it is a camp for players who take their soccer seriously. There is more coaching time than in the other package and it is the perfect chance for players to take their soccer to the next level.
The players will stay at the European University of Madrid student accommodation and the training sessions will take place at Real Madrid City.
The Regular Campus Experience has been designed for beginners and casual players. Fans of soccer who do not tend to play it and those who enjoy playing without taking it too seriously will feel very welcome in this camp but will still have the tools to improve, although the emphasis is more on enjoying the sport.
The Day Camp takes place at Valdebebas, Real Madrid’s official training centre. The Residential Camp’s training sessions are organised at Real Madrid City and the players are hosted at the European University of Madrid.
During their stay, the campers will be hosted at the Erasmo Residence of Madrid University. It is located about 20 kilometres from the centre of Madrid to the north.
Madrid, Spain’s capital, is a city bursting with life and culture. There are countless things to do in many different categories. If you love art, the world famous Prado Museum will be perfect for you. The permanent collection spans many different styles and eras, with highlights including Velasquez and Goya.
A unique attraction, the Puerta del Sol is probably the single most famous spot in the city. It is the point where all six of Spain’s major roads start and it is a symbolic ‘kilometre 0’. Try and find the plaque which marks the exact beginning of all the roads!
Other worthy mentions to visit are the various quality restaurants, including the literal oldest restaurant in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the parks and even the biggest Zara in the world. There is always plenty to do in this beautiful town.
The training sessions take place in the same place as the professional Real Madrid team training sessions, in the training centre where all the Real Madrid players gather to practice in Valdebedas. It is a professional setting with very high quality infrastructure, and it is the biggest training centre in the world.
There are very five artificial turf fields as well as five natural grass fields. The artificial turfs are the latest in synthetic pitch technology and are perfect for practicing technique particularly, with very few bad bounces or any other hindrances.
There is also a hyper-modern medical centre, over fifteen dressing rooms, a warmup room and even a cafeteria. The centre has everything the players could possibly need.
The rooms at the Erasmo Residence have two single beds, so the rooms are usually shared. They all have a bathroom and air conditioning.
The common rooms and areas are large and allow the campers to have lots of fun when the staff organise games and group activities, often on the spot. Wi-Fi is available and there are televisions, computers, a gym and a laundry room on site as well.
The catering is in the same place for the athletes in the centre and it is self-service. The dining room is brand new and the chefs work hard every day to provide healthy and balanced meals so as to make sure that the campers get all the nutrition they need to keep playing soccer and to make their recovery every night as easy as possible.
Your child will receive a breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner. Allergies and specific dietary requirements can be catered for and will be asked of all participants before the beginning of the camp.
The residence is in a secure enclosure and there is no need for public transport for going to training sessions or meals. Everything can be reached by walking within a fifteen minute perimeter so there are no security concerns.
After a balanced breakfast, the campers will have an hour and a half training sessions with the ball. After each training session, there are obligatory hygiene guidelines to follow, so players will shower and change clothes, before having a snack to recover from the exercise.
The rest of the morning is spent on theory soccer lessons. This is information that is crucial for any athlete, like how to stretch properly and what form a healthy diet takes. To be a high level athlete, all aspects of performance must be learnt and interiorised.
Several times a day, a “Campus Experience Activity” takes place. These take the form of fun and interactive games between the campers that allows them to bond and solidify their friendships while learning important life values: respect, discipline, teamwork and self-improvement.
The staff members who work every year for Campus Experience have been selected thanks to their experience in teaching, education, leisure activities and sport. Each year, they are specifically trained to rigorous Real Madrid standards, so you can rest assured that they have the experience and the necessary capabilities to maximise both the campers’ enjoyment and their learning.
After lunch, campers will have the chance to go to the pool and have fun in the water. Later in the afternoon, the campers will have another training session before another Campus Experience Activity. After this, the campers will have the chance for some peace and quiet and to call their family.
Lastly, dinner will be served at around 9PM which is the normal time for dinner in Spain. After this, the campers will have the chance to do a final Campus Experience before going off to sleep. All the days are packed with fun activities, so there will be no chance for the campers to be bored!
Parallel to the soccer training, your child can take Spanish and English lessons. The content of these lessons was designed by Choices International for Spanish and British Council for English. The objective of these lessons is to teach English and Spanish with a link to soccer. They will be taught by teachers who speak the language natively.
The lessons will cover grammar, vocabulary and practical competences that you would find in average language class with soccer themes throughout. Topics include training, nutrition, tactics, the rules of soccer, different aspects of the sport, respect, values and integration. By the end of the lessons, the students should be able to use specific vocabulary during the training sessions and better understand instructions given to them.
The lessons take place from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM Monday to Friday and cost 250 euros a week.
Goalkeepers are not forgotten at Real Madrid, having produced world class keepers like Iker Casillas. This will involve specific goalkeeper drills and coaches separate from the outfield players but will cost the same as for those players.
An airport and train station transfer can be organised for all players arriving on their own, costing 50€ for one way and 90€ for the round trip. Arrival and departure must be between 9 AM and 9 PM or extra charges will be incurred.
Arrival to camp must take place on Sunday between 07.30AM and 08.00AM at the Real Madrid training centre in Valdebebas.
If you can’t arrive on Sunday morning, it is possible to instead arrive on Saturday evening but this option will set you back €150.
If you can’t make it to Valdebebas to drop off your child, you can drop him/her off at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. The child will then be picked up by a supervisor and taken to the training centre. This will cost €52.

Welcome to the Real Madrid Foundation Experience, a preparation soccer camp imbued with the methodology of Real Madrid.
For a week, the campers will live in the same conditions as professionals within a high level sport campus.
The coaching during this week will allow the players to become familiar with the Madrilenian techniques and methods. These methods have been very advantageous for the Spanish club considering that it is the team with the most European Cups and Champions Leagues in the history of both competitions.
Real Madrid’s methodology speaks for itself and is undeniably one of the best in the world thanks to the players and results it has produced and created. Players such as Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos and Isco have spent their best years at the club and players like Iker Casillas, Emilio Butragueno, Raul and Samuel Eto’o were formed at the Academy. They came to the club at a very young age and were moulded into champions and world-class players thanks to the methodology and values of Real Madrid.
The week offered by the Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience is a week of perfecting soccer skills with an immersion into Spanish culture thanks to the environment and the language classes available. Mixing discipline with fun, it will be an unforgettable week for all participants.
All coaches, supervisors and animators have been specifically chosen and trained by the Real Madrid Foundation Experience.
